transmision wont shift into overdrive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My trucks tranny will shift from first to drive but it won't
shift into overdrive. I was told it could be a number of things
like a module, but I don't know where the modules are on
the tranny. Can someone give me some advice?

sounds like your OD is burned out,dont know of any modules on a 88 modle.change your tranny filter and fluid,if their is shavings or gunk in the pan,chances are your tranny is shot.
