i need elp
it probably says it somewhere on the engine
just going off the year, the fact it is a 1/2 ton, long bed doesnt matter, you most likely have a 351-M, but it could also be a 460 too, im not too big of a fan on the 80's style fords cuz they didnt have too much to offer, but from the few that i have owned they all had 351-Ms in them, i dont think they had very many motor options for the half tons
In 1986 in a full size Ford, it could have been the 300 straight 6, a 302 or a 351 Windsor engine. The straight six will be easily identified while the 302/351's will be a little tuffer to distinguish. Im not sure how original the truck is but the 351 trucks had dual exhaust pipes on the same side. The VIN will also tell you this info.
IT USALY SAYS ON STICKERS ON TH NEXT TO THE HOOD LACH
5.0 or the straight 300 6 cyl.
