Did anyone figure this out? I am working on a 93 ford f150 4.9L. Fuel pump works. Good pressure. All cylinders are getting spark. Great compression. Plenty of air. Rotor turns. Its timed right. And it will not start! Even using starting fluid! Any ideas? Please!

Well... this forum sucks! Thanks for nothing! But just so ya know the exhaust was plugged and fouled or burnt the plugs. So after unplugging the exhaust and doing a tune up on it runs!

Question is everything is perfect or replaced with new, and still doesn't work? So here is the answer: Ford installed a stupid little switch in case of rear impact to kill the truck. The switch will flip if loading heavy stuff that bangs around a lot, or even a big chug hole can trip it. The switch is located way up behind the brake pedal, and there is no way to get your head up there. So simply run your hand up the wire loom. and you will feel a little bump that just clicks in.... Shazam!!!! A perfectly running truck.

Good to hear nobody solved this... same problem. Runs on either. Hot wired the fuel pump, abd I have pressure. I am thinking maybe the brain or wires to it are fried. Won't start without either. Cut the either... truck dies. Mine is 4.9. Junk as hell thinking of engine swapping it.
