i have 1985 ford xlt f150 it will not start it turns, but like no gas is getting to it please help
85 im assuming is last yr of carburetor? so should be simple no spark or fuel into carb.. have someone pull a plug wire off the motor at the spark plug and put another plug in it and rest the plug on the exhaust manifold so it can ground out, crank it and see if u can see spark arching a blue color? if so firing order of plug wires could be wrong or u have a fuel issue either bad fuel, bad fuel pump, or really plugged filter.. to test pull fuel line off carb and crank over to see the fuel flow it if it dribbles than its to weak of pump or filter, if it pours fairly consistent than u dont have a fuel problem unless ur accelerator pump is shot then u can poor a lil gas in carb when cranking... first of all fastest thing to do before all this is spray carb cleaner thru the carb while cranking it. if car starts or trys to it has spark and decent ignition. if it dont start it could be a spark issue
check out the ignition module, it sits in front of the distributor or under the hood on the driver side panel above wheel weld(fire wall). I had the same problem.
Replace the module but still won't start
Still does not start
Not getting any sparks at the plugs
