Question type: Car Customization

I have a 3-spd A/T on the back of my "300" 6 cyl. I would like to upgrade to an O/D tranny.Anybody know if one will fit and what year I should be looking for ? - Thanks Steve

YES!!! The 300-6,has the same bell housing,bolt pattern,as the windsor V-8,,so,any small-block trans,,will bolt up,to your engine..I would locate a 82-90 aod,for your swap...You may encounter a drive-shaft issue,but then,plenty of pick ups,like yours,came with the aod-so finding a drive shaft ,,should be no problem..If so,, a custom drive shaft,built,and balanced,doesnt cost that much.....Good Luck!!!
