1980 f150 302 replaced battery it will not do anything dead dead dead

this 1980 ford f150 was cranking fine it started then died.  turn the key nothing,headlights none,busier none,no electrical power anywhere????

Double check the battery connections, they should be shiney clean on both terminals and cable connections, make sure you didn't hook up the battery wrong, if you did then you most likely blew some fuselinks right there by the starter solenoid.

what is a fuselink and where are they //////

Ford may use other sizes too, they can be purchased from most any parts store. If you look closely at the starter solenoid you will see some of them hooked where the positive battery cable is attached.
