My brother hooked up the battery wrong and white
smoke came from the selinoid it wont click or start  
whats the problem

There are a bunch of fuselinks all attached the solenoid, that is most likely where the smoke came from, they will be marked as to what gauge they are with a plastic tab.

Well you will have to get a new solenoid you burned it up and just like tennishoes just said also have to probly replace all the fuses.
