sometimes it will just quit running as it is being driven.  if I shut it off it will not start again sometimes for a couple of hours.  if it does start it doesn't run right. could it be the module and where is it located?

if i rember right the escort had a coil pack this is what your plug wires plug into on top of engine ,this could be your problem.easy fix.
