New starter, it started on first day OK, Then it started clicking, now it won't start
Check your voltage to the starter, if it all checks good then it is a bad started. It should be covered under a warranty. Do you know if it was a new or rebuilt starter? It seems like rebuilds anymore just aren't any good.
Make sure all the wires are connected. Did you also change the solenoid? Make sure the starter is the correct one for the Corvette, not just for a General Motors car. Did you match the teeth and fly wheel teeth to make sure they line up and are fully seated? When you removed the old starter, was there shims on it? If the starter is clicking, maybe there is a lose or corroded connection. Make sure the connection is not touching something to drain the power away. (short) If you pulled the cables from the battery, is that connection clean and tight?
