Swapping a V6 tbi engine for a V8 carbeurated engine....what steps do I need to take to make this happen??

Boy did you step in it. Fuel system modification back to pre high pressure system, complete removal of existing engine management electronics, re wire for engine that is going into the vehicle, cooling system increased capacity, front suspension change over, exhaust system, etc. Then after all of that is done it won't pass inspection if your state requires it.
