Asked by Ron Dec 26, 2021 at 01:48 PM about the 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Question type: Car Customization

Hi guys, what size engine do you recommend to put in a 1976 Monte Carlo to
get around 425 HP? Do you recommend Chevrolet Performance Engines or
Blue Print Engines?
I am in CA and this needs to pass smog. New engine will pass smog right?

Good luck with that. California is the pits on any kind of performance mods or engine swaps. You might have better luck with a fuel conversion for some thing like propane or CNG in a bog block Chevy
