Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2 barrel carb on my Chevy 350 is not
getting fuel from the fuel pump. The floater
in the float bowl is blocking gas from
getting into it! How can I fix this?

It's called the needle and seat and if it was never replaced when this junk they call fuel was implemented it most likely swelled up, you will have to remove the top of the carb to replace it, your best bet is to get a rebuild kit with the new parts for today's fuel and overhaul it. eventually you will have to replace all of the rubber fuel lines due to this new fuel mixture and if the fuel pump may also quit somewhere down the road.
