How do I know if a '63 chevy impala convertible is a super sport or not?
According to this page: http://www.348-409.com/faq.html#true, a '63 SS should have "SS wheel covers, engine turned swirl pattern exterior trim, and SS badging. On the inside, the same swirl pattern was used around the dash controls and at each side of the speedometer. Supersport interiors consisted of front vinyl covered bucket seats accented with bright moldings, center divider console/floor shifter, and an all vinyl interior. Because of this, interior trim codes can help confirm an SS car as the Supersports had their own unique codes." Hope that helps, mha63!
Gosh, Wheelerdealer is so right on. All I was going to say was check the vin on the car, it will tell you the trim package and if it had the SS badging.
