Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 79caprice with a bad 350 engine. I have a 91
caprice 9c1 engine. Can I swap that 91 into my 79'. If so

Not easily. The 1979 model is not computer controlled but the 1991 model is. You'll need to grab all the engine and computer wiring, and the ECM from the 91 model. There may be issues with the transmission as well. I'm not sure about that though. Hope that helps! Jim

You can probably swap over the ignition and intake from the 79 but the later ignition and injection would be better but you will need to do as the above post says.
