I am looking for my late husbands 1978 Chevy Blazer. We donated it in 1999 and I would like to know how I can find it so I can have it reconditioned for my teenage son. He loved the car when his dad was alive and I really want to find it. The online sites all require 17 digit vin, this has 12. Where do I start and how. Please help.

Which online sites are you using? I know of none that will tell you were the car is located at.

State DMV's don't share personal information with the general public. Your best off finding another 1999 Blazer to fix up, I seriously doubt the one you donated is even on the road anymore.
