1975 BLAZER NO START

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This engine has spark, fuel, and compression. The spark plugs were replaced,
the distributor was replaced. Most forums say the distributor is 180 out, but I
checked when it was TDC, and it’s lined up with cylinder 1 on the distributor. I
am not sure why it cannot start.

You know that you can put that distributor in 180 degrees off with the crankshaft showing top dead center, right? The camshaft is what can be in 2 different positions. If you're getting a lot of backfiring when cranking, then you're probably 180 off. Try turning the crankshaft another round and then timing the distributor to number one if this is the case. www.autotechadvisor.com
