of smoke. I turned it of the turn it
back on and it try to turnn over but it
seemef like somthing was stoping it
like a jam or rubing. Please help.
Did smoke come from under hood? If so have some one inspect your belts. Could have an idler pulley hanging up on it.
Remove the belt(s) and try to start it. If it starts fine with the belt(s) off one of the accessories like the alternator, water pump, A/C compressor, etc. is most likely seizing up. Only run the engine for a moment without the belt(s) on for testing purposes. It will overheat if run for any length of time because the water pump is not operating with the belt(s) off. If the engine cranks and runs ok with the belt(s) off turn off the engine and turn each accessory pully, idler pulley, and tentioner pulley by hand. All should spin freely with very little or no resistance. If any pulley is hard or impossible to spin by hand, there's your bad component. HTH. -Jim
