Weak battery, and or weak starter, all so check your battery cable,s,for tightness.

Check your battery, battery cables, the ground wire location, and of coarse your wires from the generator or is it an altenator. I thought most all cars had switched altenators by the sixtys.

Did you replace the voltage regulator and polarize it after the generator was rebuilt?

Your Battery Might be Totally Dead and May NOT hold Any More Charges Additionally You Might Have Problems With Battery Connecting Cables Clean Your Battery Post & Also Please Get Your Rebuilt Generator/Alternator Rechecked By Another Shop Such As Auto Zone, Napa Etc.
