My 1996 Avalon does not have automatic head lights that come on and off. Can I install one?
I just bought this car for my 18 year old daughter. The headlights are operated manually to turn on and off. Can I install an automatic system?
of course you can !!!
come on the switch is either on the turn signal nob or 6 inches to the left on the dash. if ya dont think she can safely turn the lights, she really shoudnt be driving anything!!!
yes, but it will cost an arm and a leg. even more than the car
I have a '96 too, and it has semi-automatic headlights. What I mean by this is that I can leave the switch in the "on" position and they'll stay on the entire time I have the key turned in the ignition. After I take the key out, and ONLY after I open the driver's door, the lights turn off. At least this is how mine works - yours may be different but I wouldn't think so. So if you don't mind that the headlights are on all the time the car is on, you shouldn't have to worry about turning them on. Otherwise, you can just turn them on and off yourself. It's not worth the cost to get fully-automatic lights.
