i have a 91 s10 it had a bad starter so replaced it still nothing
it with a new one still wont all it does it click it getting power and has a good
ground wht else could it be
Huh..? What are you trying to say? Spit it out dude..I think your saying your getting clicking sound still even tho you changed starter. Hook a test light to the starter (the signal wire) when someone tries to start if light flashes then starter OK and flywheel jammed. Check to see if engine turns freely by turning crank pulley with your hands.
If the crank does not spin then engine is locked/seized. If light does not flash on tester then you have an electrical fault with starter wiring!
Could be a bad neutral safety switch. Try this, turn on the headlights and try to start it. Do the lights stay nice and bright? If so, it's going to be the starter or neutral safety switch. If they dim, flicker badly, or go out it's a bad battery or battery cable connection. HTH. -Jim
Is your battery any good?
