How 2 put a 4x4 front end out of a 89 jimmy into my 2wd s10
What year s-10?
You cant. The front ends are completely different. You are better off doing a solid axle swap then trying to make the factory 4x4 setup work on a 2wd
I'm going to disagree with you Andrew. If he has the same body style s-10 as the doner jimmy, every bit of the two trucks are swappable. It will require a lot of front end work but it is possible.
Well the 4x4 frame is different in the front the the 2wd. I've is narrower. Also the 4x4 uses torsion bars for front suspension where the 2wd uses coils. Just about every cross member is different. You are really better off doing a solid axle in the front. It's much easier than that. I didn't say impossible just wouldn't make any sense to do
I say u might as well put a limited slip kit in it while u at it. GM goes extra mile on independent half shafts, then SCRIMPS on THAT! Just another WANNAbe 4x4 that's almost as helpless as standard 2wd in the mud with slip side SLIPping,& GRIP side WHIMPing!!!!!
