I have a 1991 Manual 5 speed chevy s10 v6 2.8 L, and I need to know what type or weight
of manual transmission fluid is acceptable? I have asked my auto parts store and they
have really good stuff that comes at a really expensive price. I can get different cheaper
kinds at my local Walmart, but unlike the expensive stuff, they have different weights and
my auto parts guy cant tell me what i need. can anyone help?
go to a auto parts store like autozone and ask them if they will open a hayes manual for u and see what weight u shoul use
i have a chilton manual and it simply says to use gear oil. it doesn't specify a weight. My Orileys carries a Syncromesh stuff and its really pricey, however my walmart has 80w90 and 85w120.
the hanyes manuals are set up so in the front of the chapter it says all of the specs and capacities you want syncro gear oil cause if you mess up your syncros your gears will be misaligned do u have a autozone in your town
unfortunately no. Just an Orileys.
