Line from carb to map is disconnected. Will fuel pump operate?.

Minor fire burned it new to relay clicks but pump doesn't run.

Since the truck does not start try fixing the obvious damage!

You should still get the intial fuel pump even with that line disconnected, most likely you have missed a burnt wire or connection.

Thanks a bunch. This vehicle was just parked and nothing done to prepare for storage. That was 6 yrs ago. I've covered everything and it looks like a fuel pump is the problem. Again - thanks very much for your input--Ed

Yeah, that long in storage most likely it is totally corroded internally. You may want to flush the fuel system while you have the pump out and also the fuel injectors may have crud in them. Sounds like a real project.
