Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 chevy c1 series and
whenever I start it, it produces white
smoke from the tailpipe enough to make a
cloud, and it continually produces white
smoke as long as it's on, is it because i
have a leak on my oil gasket? Its been a
few years since i worked on a vehicle pls
bear with me for my lack of knowledge,
but does any one have any help for me?

White smoke out the tailpipe is usually coolant in the combustion chamber, have you noticed any drop in the cooling systems level? Any oil the cooling system or coolant in the engine oil? You can pickup a DIY test kit at your local parts store to check for blown headgaskets, just follow the directions. Or a shop can do it.
