I recently purchased a Chevy 1500.  The master brake cylinder had been replaced but the computer has not been reset.  Is this something I can do myself?

Most vehicles that year all you have to do is remove positive terminal from battery for about 5 - 10 seconds then reinstall terminal and that will reset the computer. Now some vehicles have to be reset with a code scanner. You do not have to reset computer after replacing a master brake cylinder. The only part of a brake system that is connected to the computer is the ( ABS ) light.
