what happened?

Asked by Mar 18, 2015 at 10:05 PM about the 1999 Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck over heated and shut off, still won't start. Water/coolant is empty but nothing boiled
over. Oil is not milky but thin. Fuel pump will not come on. Just had the water pump
replaced about 3 weeks ago. Any ideas? TIA

If there is no water it can't boil over. Sounds like it's blown.

Will the starter even turn it over? If not it's siezed

blown head gasket. Replace and it will be good.
