A 2000 Chevy S10 that I bought used was tampered with by someone. Piston # 2 was bad and bypassed by some clever spark plug wire hookups-at least that's what I've been told, don't understand it all. How long could the V6 continue running with one of the pistons bypassed? Any way to tell how long it's been like this?
runs on five cylinders now....or four?
Not sure of all the specifics. My guess would be four cylinders. I was told it might run a little rougher than normal but could run indefinitely if it was done right. Was wondering if anyone knew any more about this sort of thing.
