engine quitting randomly on my '98 crv, starts right up again, new coil, distributor; help?

4 months now, sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, stopped or moving, at any speed, the engine just quits. sometimes a little shuddering noise as it dies. auto trans, 168000 km. New coil, new distributor, no help. Seems to increase in frequency with increase in humidity, but not only time. Yesterday 4 times in 20 minute drive. This can be dangerous on the highway. Shifting at speed into N from D can be tricky..  but once in N or Park, she starts right up again until next time. Any ideas?

Hi, I don't have any ideas for you, but I have a 2007 Honda Pilot. I have the same problem. The car stalls when it is in motion. Only once did it stall at a traffic light. The car has had this issue from the 5th day of ownership. I bought this car brand new from the dealer. It only had 6 miles on it when I bought it. The dealer can't find the problem and neither can Honda Corp. The car has stalled while driving on the PA turnpike, going through the EZ pass lane, on express routes, in the middle of making a left turn, etc. The car goes dead: lights, radio, blower, etc, everything turns off. The car starts up immediately when I restart the car.

could be a bad battery or bad connection to the battery. my 07 accord did the same thing to me. i replaced my battery and havent had a problem since
