Car Won't Move

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving on the freeway, in 5th gear, all of a sudden, the car began to
lose speed.  It came to a complete stop and will no longer drive.  It will start
and rev, but not move in 1st nor reverse.  No check engine light or anything
and no trouble codes...We've been having some trouble with the car and
the last time we took it to the dealership, we were told it needed some coils
replaced (not yet repaired).  Two cylinders have misfired on occasion,
engine light would flash or come on, stuttering issues, and a few times it felt
like the car came out of gear...Wondering if we might just need to replace
the clutch and coils?

Thank you! My husband wanted to replace both the tranny and clutch, but I suspect the clutch and respective parts are the #1 issue...Just thought the "D" light would come on if the transmission was having issues...Thanks!
