How do you know what is wrong with the vehicle?

My check engine light came on and I took it and had oriellys put it on the computer and that was the code that came up

It was either that or the Catalytic converter. But my truck is not losing power so it has to b the sensor is my best guess and the guy at the shop. He said I'd know if it was the catalytic converter

The trouble code should have told you if the problem was the up- stream or down stream sensor and which bank. I agree with guys above, the O2 sensor replacement may or may not fix the issue. If you are convinced it is a bad sensor, then by all means replace it.

Can we go back to the question and answer it because I want to know as well. Which 02 sensor normally goes bad?
