Does the headlight switch on my 66 Bronco have a circuit breaker in the switch?

Asked by Jun 28, 2016 at 12:22 PM about the 1966 Ford Bronco

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My headlights blink on and off while driving at night.  They blink off and then blink back on again in 10-15 seconds.  Same thing happens even when using high beams.  Do I need a new headlight switch?

Yes to both your questions, a very common problem, just make sure you have good grounds to the headlight circuits, also a big Ford issue back in the day.

could also be the hi / low dimmer switch ...

Kelly on these older Broncos when the dimmer switch went it went totally, so you got nothing, you could hear it click but no power.
