I have an 07 Chevy uplander, it drives in 1,2, and reverse, but won't go in drive

My van was running fine then all of a sudden it
drive was working... And it is idle at 1000rpm but
won't go over 4000 rpm... I really hope it's not the
transmission being shot but I need suggestions I
checked all the fuses.. but it sounds fine please
help

It does drive in 1 and 2 and a bit in 3 but when I shift gears you here it change from park to nutruel I'm just hoping it's something I can fix I really don't have the means to take it in for a new transmission

I have a 2008 chevy uplander, the exact same thing is happening to me. It wont start in drive but it will drive in 2nd and 3rd. It pulls extremely sluggish in 1st. Reverse also works

I have the same thing going on mine won't go into drive either but goes into all the rest of them what was the answer I didn't happen to see it what was wrong with all y'all's vans???

I have similar problems on my Uplander 08 LS 3.9 liter. Thinking its the TCM (Transmission Control Module) located on driver side under hood top edge of engine well close to the corner of windshield. Simply unplugged it and I got all my gears back, but not running optimally. Not sure if a junk yard replacement swap will work yet. It might require programming. Again I am unsure if I can do a direct swap, but I know you can order a programmed TCM online to replace it at a fraction of the cost it would be at the dealership.

You don't need any tools to remove and replace the TCM. Its held in its holder by a plastic tip and of course the single plug it has which is held in by a plastic latch that in order to open iit you need to unclip it left towards the front bumper of the vehicle. Once that clip latch is opened the plug will pull out, but might require a bit of force, but the clip is all that is holding it in. Then you can carefully slide the module up and out of its retaining holder which again is held in by simple plastic tensioners.

My guess is a wire partially broken . I've seen the transmission and engine computer stop working and it was a hot wire from the fuse box that feeds them both.
