will my alero 16 Inch mag with 225-50-16 fit on a cobalt ss upercharge, my tire are new yokohama avid h4s
I intend to change my alero 2000 for a cobalt ss, and i would like to know if i can reuse my old mag 16 ", or are they to wide. I know that 205-55-16
is the same diamater as a 225-50-16 but is the mag or tire to wide for the weel assambly thanks middlemarkal
You should be able to reuse them. The diamaters, as you said are the same, and I dont think the tires will be too wide for the wheel well. Ask the Chevrolet Service department when you go to test drive the car, they will be able to give you a difinitive answer.
If the spacing of the mounting and center holes are the same there should be no problems. If they are not exact, there may be an adaptor you could purchase from a tire/performance shop.
If they are 5X110 bolt pattern and have a 35-42 offset then yes they'll fit. As far as the tire size goes.... I'm not sure
why would you go down in size if its an ss it should have 17 on it
No, your bolt pattern on your rims is most likely 5 x 115; Cobalts have a 5 x 110 bolt pattern.
Look at a 2008 Colbalt SS it has ......18 by 7.5 inch wider than before wheels.
