I have a 1984 Berlinetta Camaro. The question that I have is that when I go to turn the ignition..nothing happens..no power at at all..I checked my battery and it is fine...the alternator is fine as well..not sure what it could be. If anyone hs any suggestions or ideas please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks...Denise
Here is a list of things to check: http://www.ehow.com/how_112584_troubleshoot-car-wont.html Look at steps 9 through 11. Also, here is a site that shows where the energy flows into your engine for your 1984 Camaro. Check to make sure everything is connected. http://www.instructables.com/id/ERUFGEJ9RBEP28683C/ It is most likely a faulty ignition switch or wiring.
I too have a 1984 Starship Berlinetta. Once we had the same issue and found the battery cable to the starter was loose at the starter. No problem since. Bruce Myers McMinnville, Oregon (original owner of this Berlinetta)
