i want to switch my camaro's brake system from drums to disc how do go about it?
You're going to need, at very least, most likely a new master cylinder, possibly also a new vacuum booster. You will need a new metering valve, and also the rear parts to accept disc brakes -- not sure if the hubs, etc. are the same. You may want to find a junkyard specimen with disks that you can harvest parts from.
by your rear disc brake kit then: 1. completely remove the entire drum brake system from the car including the wheel cylinderi and backing plate, you may have to change out the brake hose tha routes from the line to the wheel cylinder aswell. 2. then start to assemble yoour disc brakes starting with the backing plate, i believe the opening in the plate goes twards the front of the car. 3. then attach your hub bearing, it may be the same one as on the drum brakes, and it may use the same bolts as the backing plate for mounting. 4. then install you your posible e brake inside the rotor but it may have it inside the caliper instead. 5. next install your caliper and rotor, if the e brake is incorperated in your caliper attach the e brake cable to the caliper. i may have missed a step or two but the kit should come with instructions for instaltion.
