My 78 Z 28 350/350 has a 3.42 to 1 rear axle all torque no go on highway,
what is the axle ratio I need to drive this car on the highway ?
for better milage...speed....all tq no go...what do you want???? for cruse then..2.73:1 2.41:1 for tq 373...410
After all the Z-28 was designed for sports track racing & good torque & acceleration coming out of the turns. Buy 1 size down to a 2.42 to 1 ring & piñon gears & have it professional set up, backlash is very important! Your top-end will greatly improve, but low-end acceleration will suffer. An overdrive automatic transmittion could be a good mod too?
