how do i replace my signal arm on my 68 Camaro?
I have a 68 Cam Conv 250. The signal arm is just hanging on by a thread. Does any one
know the part inside the steering that I need to order? Thanx. Hyde
Yours will either screw directly in the side of the column or the end that goes into the column will be flat with a screw on it. Either way you'll need to replace the turn signal switch if it's broken. They were made of plastic. Don't order the repair kit. By what you're saying the plastic switch itself is broken. I have 3 listings of OEM part numbers which I hope will help. They are: 7800482, With Powerglide 5698897, with tilt wheel 7800006. Since it's a '68 model you can just pull the steering wheel and everything is right there. Not a hard job. I changed one in a '67 Cadillac a few years ago. HTH. -Jim
thanx! i'll give it a try or have someone do it that won't destroy the steering column like I may. Ha
You're welcome. Rockauto.com has your turn signal switch assembly. It's about $50.00. HTH. Jim
