Hi, I have a 1992 Toyota pick up that wont start by
turning the egnition on. first i replaced the starter
motor and it didnt work then I replaced the relay
switch still wont work but I can start it by turning the
ignition to on position taking the relay switch off then
connecting a piece off wire from 1 end to d other. Any
answer to my quiry will be much appreciated. Thanks
Nees to have someone test to see if voltage is being sent through the ignition switch.
I ran a tester through the relay switch and its only supplying 5 to 6 volts of power
I cant remember if the signal from the switch is suposed to be 5v or 12v. Check the relay's ground side.
It may be the contact inside the ignition switch too ? I had a similar problem with my 90' so I hooked a push button up to a relay and start my truck that way
never did find the problem with my 90 pick up the key switch never did start the truck i put a push button on the truck now all i do is turn key to on posistion and push the button and it starts right up 90% of the time and 100% of the time wen its cold i have another problem with the truck when its warm i cannot figure out but i will eventualy
My 4runner did this. New starter, nope. New battery, yes.
I have a 93 Toyota everything is new but i still have no power to the starter my only guess would be a inline fuse anyone knows of this inline fuse and where abouts?
