I want to buy a 4wd Toyota Pick Up . I see many "rebuilt" are they reliable (Usually) or would you stay away from a rebuilt' engine?

I wouldn't, but have it checked out by your local garage, they can tell if the repair was done correctly.

First confirm if the engine is rebuilt or if the entire vehicle was rebuilt from salvage. I'd stay away from a rebuilt from salvage but a proper engine rebuild can be ok. See if there is a warranty offered on the rebuilt engine.
