1995 Toyota Camry 2.2L fuel line replacement
I have a 1995 Toyota Camry 2.2L with 275k miles on it. How much should I expect to pay for having the fuel lines replaced? Thanks.
I just went through this with my daughters '95 Camry. I had to order the fuel line over the internet. The dealer ship doesn't carry factory fuel lines or brake lines. At least not the Toyota dealership in my state. I had to cut, flare, and bend the line myself. You may as well buy a new fuel filter also, since the fuel line runs from the bottom of the filter to the rubber gas line under the tank. I think I purchased ten feet of fuel line just to be safe. I believe it was 10mm aluminum tubing that I ordered. Take a caliper and measure the diameter of your line just to be sure. I had to search online forever to find a company. I think I had to order the tubing out of Canada. After market fuel lines only run from 1997-present. I couldn't find any pre-bent fuel lines made by after market dealers. I will search my emails and see if I find the company I ordered from. I will post back if I find it.
Okay, the fuel line you need will be 8mm or 5/16. Like I said, I couldn't find a fuel line in that diameter and longer than a few inches. Maybe 18 inches at best. If you are lucky, you may be able to go to your local auto parts place and buy some 5/16 steel tubing in 5' lengths. Here is the site that I ordered the tubing from. http://ribetautoparts.com/search.aspx?find=8mm+tubing&page=3
Thank you very much Reelin68.
