My Tundra wheels wont balance!
Any one having a REALLY hard time getting their toyota tundra wheels to balance. I have an 01 tundra that I've taken to Discount Tire 9 times in the last 6 months and they still cant get it right! First they gave me some bull story about it requiring special weights, then they said I needed to but new rims because the OEM's had an odd inner diameter that didn't really work on their machines. This is the second set of tires I've had on this truck in 10 months. Any ideas? And yes I have gone to different Discount Tires and had 2 other companies try to balance them as well. I'm pretty sure it's the tires but I can't get them to admit it. I've had the front suspension overhauled and the alignment done as well.
well i wouldent take a kar to the same place more then 2 times if they aint get it right but yeah take it to the dealer ....................
I would but at this point I've already spent too much time and money to not make them fix it.
They probably arent going to fix it anyways. They will continue to give you the same song and dance that your wheels wont work on their machine. Id suggest taking it to a shop where they actually know what they are doing. Im not saying you have to take it to the dealer, but at least ask around, see what the best tire shop is and go there. I know its not what you want to do, but I think thats going to be your only option of making your truck right. "Discount" doesnt always mean that its done right.
Thanks Chad. I finally make enough knoise that they replaced a rim and gaave me 2 new tires. It's doing a lot better now.
