sometimes after stopping get slight chatter for spilt second on acceleration

Only 65,000 miles on car  does not happen all the time

Is it a manual transmission? Could be clutch chatter from the clutch release bearing. Most likely cause of the noise is a loose or rusted exhaust heat shield.
