my 2001 toyota wont start
First it was dying at stop signs we replaced the fuel filter, the oxygen sensor
plugs and wires, the battery, and the ecm module, , and the fuel pump relay,
we also cleaned mass air flow sensors.. still wont start..when we sprayed
starter fluid in the carburetor still would not turn over
Need to check for spark. Possible ignition control module, coil packs, etc. the ignition system should be checked out.
thank you I will buy a tester tomorrow and get right on that
the coils checked out fine, but I have googled it and I dont know where the icm is located on my car
If you still do not have spark, the ignition control module (ICM) would be a good thing to check. I believe Auto Zone can check this component as this is a spendy unit. I am not sure where yours is located but I know what it looks like. I would have a male inline 10 pin receiver plugin into it. Check out this link, you may have to scroll down, it has a few pictures of this item.https://www.carid.com/2001-toyota-4runner-ignition-parts/standard-intermotor-ignition-control-module-45117846.html
