my camry tunk wont stay open after engaging latch opens about a inch

1 Answer

There should be two bars that run under your rear trunk panel. Follow the bars. One should lock into the left and right side of your upper fender wells. Pull back the trunk liner, and look in with a flash light. You will notice three slots that the bar will fit into. I'm only guessing, but I would imagine that by moving the bar into a different slot, it will control the trunk tension. Mine is currently in the second slot. My trunk will only open an inch also. Not sure which way will give more tension, but just pop out the bar on either side and move it to the next slot up or down and see where that gets you. Good luck!
