While driving car, it just shut down and had to be towed home. The next day it stared fine. I keep having this problem

While driving car one day, it just shut down. It had to be towed. The next day it was fine. Some one told me it might have to do with the cam sensor

Sorry, but without looking at it, I'd be doing the same thing as you and your friend. Guessing what part or parts are causing your issue. Can you give a little more description on the symptoms, and or have a mechanic look it over for you?
