I rarely drive ober 120 km per hour, but when I do, the check engine light comes on. Then it goes off again. It never comes on at any other time?

The light is telling you there is a failure in the engine control system, pulling the codes should tell you what part of the system has the problem at higher speeds, most parts stores can get them, write them down then re-post them back and someone will help you with furthe diagnosis. You never know it could be fuel or air flow or failing sensor.

Either buy a code reader or have someone read the trouble codes for you. The check engine light can come on for a variety of reasons so you need to narrow it down.
