What is the A/T "Hold & Power Lights for on the dash of a year 2000 model Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The "Hold or Power Light is always on, on the dash of a Subaru Forester 2000yr Model

1 Answer

There should be a button on or near the shifter marked "hold". Push it and the light will go out. This feature is more of a performance mode for the way the transmission shifts. It prevents the transmission from shifting into overdrive. Gives you more acceleration but cuts into your gas mileage. HTH. -Jim
