2003 Subaru Outback no spark 3 or 4
I replaced the coil pack, cam and crank
sensors, computer and plugs/bolts still
won't start. Mechanic says it is a spark
problem. Any ideas as to why the back half
of the coil isn't recieving spark?
did you change out the spark plug wires ????
There's something called the "igniter ", check that to see if it's working properly. Also search for that online, I found a number of posts discussing the number 3 and 4 cylinders with no spark. Good luck.
also pull the spark plug out and check for oil getting by the spark plug wires you may have a leaky cover gasket , with a new valve cover gasket you also get the covers for the spark plug holes, these dry out over time and allow oil to seep by
