Why would my 2004 Subaru make a loud noise when I accelerate?

Asked by May 16, 2015 at 09:54 AM about the 2004 Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Subaru has 66K miles on it.  When I drove it yesterday, it made a loud noise every time I had my foot on the accelerator.  What could this be?

what kind of noise (scrubbing, whining, grinding)

Loud like the rev of a race car.

might be your exhaust manafold gasket blown. or just all that raw horsepower.

Sounds like there may be a hole or a leak in the exhaust somewhere.
