Subaru forest 05,car lurches, ABS light comes on, gets to point that it dies then needs a jump to start it. Manual says low battery triggers the ABS shut-off. Replaced battery but problem continues.

I would check to make sure the battery terminal connections are clean. If they are corroded, a new battery will not help.
